"Everything was smooth and I was done 15-20 mins before the appointment time. I saw an employee genuinely helping the applicants as much as possible and I felt she was really sincere and patient."

"Got there 30 min before appointment, sign in sheet is a joke, they don't even look at it, instead yell out what time is your appointment. Then while all 7 of them chat, and make us wait past our appointment times. 10am appointment, finally up to counter at 10:15, no, they were not busy, just doing personal stuff. Then charged me $210, yet my receipt showed $202.90 to be collected. I guess she needed the extra money. She told me I was getting a 5 or 10 yr visa, got my visa, says 1 yr only. Total robbery. I see why they don't post fees for each duration of visa, this way they can pocket the extra money."

"Being a Pakistani I really thought I would have had a bad experience. Quite the contrary, the ladies working here were pleasant to work with and nice. I filled out the visa application online (didn't work on Google Chrome for some reason). It directed me to the VFS website to make an appointment and every time I checked it was always zero appointments. The trick is to check right at midnight, that's when I was able to get an appointment for the next day. (The reference number it asks you for is your visa application number)Printed out my papers, as well the appointment sheet and came in to find out I didn't do a lot of things. The plus side is that they offer all of it there at a cost. The things I forgot were 1. Copies of my passport and my driver's license (they charge $1 per copy). 2. The paper that is on the checklist to declare you only have one residency, plus it needs to be notarized (place does it next door for $6 for it.) 3. Passport sized photos (they charge $7.95 for it). A prepaid label to send back passport (they charge $15 for it).So after forgetting all that, they still helped me with all of it and said it usually takes 5-7 days to get it back but because the holidays it'll be around 10. They do offer an SMS option that will text you with updates for $5. I got it but realized you don't really need it cause your can check updates on the VFS for free. Now after all that, let's see if I get approved. Even if I don't, still a good experience. The Pakistan embassy should take notes."
