Week two of unemployment. I have learned/reminded myself of a few things I want to share:1. Lean into your network, you truly have no idea who your advocates are.2. Applying for jobs can seem useless at times but make sure your resume and LinkedIn are up to date. And follow-up!!3. Stay diligent, you are capable, and don't forget your worth.4. Get ready for 20+ workday logins5. YOU GOT THIS

MY JOB SEARCH JOURNEY 2024 - Where is the Efficiency?Over 6 years ago...was the last time I put serious effort into job search. As I begin the process again, I am discouraged. I had learned a few vital facts regarding job search back then:1) Most jobs are not obtained via a "cold" application (very low percentage).2) Work with your network and colleagues3) Don't waste efforts on lengthy cover letters, applications requiring 5 minutes or more, or tests...prior to a valid response of interest from the company. This means the best way for me to get a job is - Through my network or - "Easy Apply." So I am putting my best foot forward, but as I look at roles, I see many healthcare organizations in the stone ages of this process using Workday. What happened to efficiency and ease for all persons involved in hiring? Do companies know that their HR product creates a wall and gives an "inefficient" first impression of the prospective workers' new world?Happy to send an updated resume to all my fans:)
